The AMBIKA is the darkest tenor mouthpiece in our entire line-up. It is a great classic jazz mouthpiece with a true vintage sound. While it is very dark sounding, it still projects nicely. It has a warm, deep, and hauntingly gorgeous tone.

Even though it has Theo's HUGE True Large Chamber and no baffle, the AMBIKA is not stuffy or thin. The AMBIKA allows one to get the rich spread sound of the 1940s mouthpieces, but yet still project enough to be heard, and feel expressive. The True Large Chambers are technically superior and more accurate to the vintage (and other new) large chambers due to our patent-pending machining technology.

Our new manufacturing technology allows us to make the Stable-Wood mouthpiece entirely from one piece of Stable Wood. Stable-Wood has an incredibly rich and warm sound due to its wood grain and the character inherent in real wood. However, it will not crack or warp as Stable-Wood is impregnated all the way through with resin, making it stable.

The AMBIKA's True Large Chamber is very much like the vintage mouthpieces of the 1940s but technically superior due to our patent-pending machining technology.
