Compare the Schreiber "Limited Edition" to the Buffet E11 (German Made)

The Schreiber "Limited Edition" wood clarinet is the same clarinet as the original German made Buffet E11.
For those who are not 100% sure about this, we present side by side photos of a Schreiber and a Buffet.

In each of these photos, the instrument on the top (or to the left) is the Schreiber LE with Silver keys. The other clarinet is a Buffet E11 (German made) serial number 734054 that has been recently overhauled in our shop. You will see identical key work, body taper & ring styles in both instruments. Both are stamped "Made in Germany" using the same font and placement. The only difference in these 2 clarinets is the screw used for the adjustable thumb rest, but Buffet has also used the screw shown with the Schreiber in the past as well. The are undeniably the same clarinet when compared side by side.

These are brand new Schreiber "Limited Edition" clarinets. These are made by Schreiber in Germany.

For many MANY years, the Buffet student (B10 & B12) and intermediate (E10 & E11) clarinets have been made in Germany by Schreiber. In 2009, Buffet decided to move E11 production to France with the new "E11 France" model. Now, effective August 1, 2010, Buffet has purchased Schreiber-Keilwerth in Germany.

The "Limited Edition" Schreiber is the identical clarinet to the German made Buffet E11 that is no longer produced. These instruments are in perfect condition and are phenomenal values. Included is the traditional wood-shell case that is identical to what was used on the Buffet E11 with the exception being that it has the Schreiber logo on it.

These clarinets are on a limited production and availability and will not last long. So if you are looking for a great intermediate wood clarinet and the Buffet E11 was on your list, take a look at this clarinet. You will be glad you did!

What does our Professional Setup do for you the customer?

No clarinet comes into our shop from the manufacturers in perfect adjustment. In fact, the longer that they have sat in a storage facility or on a shops shelves, the more out of adjustment they typically are. This is due to the felt in the pads losing the compression that forms the "pad seat" causing leaks of air through the pads. With wood clarinets, the wood can shrink or swell depending on the climate which can effect the fit of the joints as well as cause keys to bind up.

Our Professional Setup prior to shipping is done to ensure that you receive a clarinet that plays perfectly right out of the box. This way you get the superior performance of the clarinet without having to have it "setup" by some other technician. As a professional shop, one of the biggest requirements falls on the repair abilities of the shop. Ours is one of the best around!

We have some of the lowest prices in the country on instruments, no other shop can give you this price AND this setup.

If you have any questions, please give us a call!
