The Jupiter CAS-2000 alto saxophones are really quite amazing. They are a discontinued version of the Jupiter XO professional alto sax. These horns rival major name brand horns that cost 50% more. This is one of the first saxophones from Taiwan that we feel really competes on a "professional" performance level. The craftsmanship is truly amazing and the horn plays with great power, presence and a rich tone.

The CAS-2000 uses the exact same body, design & keywork as the XO. The XO model includes 2 hand-hammered necks; a brass and a goldbrass neck. The CAS-2000 uses the same brass neck, but instead of the goldbrass neck, the CAS-2000 uses a Solid Silver neck (most would consider this an upgrade as Solid Silver necks are more expensive).

We will gladly put this horn up against many "professional" horns that are $1,000 more and honestly feel that this Jupiter holds its own and in many cases, outplays the more expensive horn!  Jupiter paid great attention to the ergonomics of this saxophone and we find it VERY comfortable.

We do completely go over the instrument in our Pro Repair Shop prior to shipping to make sure that it is adjusted perfectly.

What does our Professional Setup do for you the customer?

No instrument comes into our shop from the manufacturers in perfect adjustment. In fact, the longer they sit in a storage facility or on a music stores shelves, the more out of adjustment they typically are. This is due to the felt in the pads losing the compression that forms the "pad seat" causing leaks of air through the pads. Our Professional Setup prior to shipping is done to ensure that you receive an instrument that plays perfectly right out of the box. This way you get the superior performance of the instrument without having to have it "setup" by some other technician. No other shop can give you this price AND this setup.
