Yanagisawa Deluxe Engraving Patterns

Yanagisawa does some beautiful engraving patterns. They reserve these for only their most expensive instruments. Up until recently, they were the 9937 all Sterling Silver models.

Here are the 2 patterns:

"A" Engraving Pattern

This pattern is their top pattern. They extensively engrave the bell, bell bow, body tube, neck & keys. Here are some pictures of that pattern on the Yanagisawa A9937:

"B" Engraving Pattern

This is the 2nd tier deluxe engraving pattern. The bell, bow and neck stay engraved, however the body tube and keys are not. Yanagisawa does add some engraving to the inside of the bell on this pattern and they seem to do a little more ornate engraving on the bell then on the A pattern. Here are some pictures of the B pattern on a Yanagisawa T9937:

According to Leblanc, Yanagisawa will no longer be offering the "A" Engraving pattern. All top end Yanagisawa's will only have the "B" Engraving pattern from now on.

We have confirmed this change with a source in Germany as well.
