International Shipping & Payment Policies Please note that customers in Canada do not fall under this policy. Customers in Canada follow the same payment policies as our US Customers. Shipping For International shipments (excludes Canada), Kessler & Sons Music can ship via UPS (www.ups.com) or the US Postal Service (www.usps.com), some restrictions apply. The most affordable method of shipping is through the US Postal Service. However, the USPS puts restrictions on size and package content to many countries. The most common is the size of the box. To many countries, the USPS uses a size
limitation based on a package's "Length + Girth". To the left is a graphic depicting how this measured. Essentially, it is 2 times the Width and 2 times the Height of a package. So to properly measure "Length + Girth", the formula is L+2W+2H. To many countries, the USPS puts a limitation of 79" as the Max Length + Girth allowed to go through International Priority Mail. Other countries, this limitation is 108". Very few items can be safely shipped in a box that measure less than 79" Length + Girth. To see if you live in a country that can accept a the larger 108" box size (all saxophones & most brass instruments), please visit the USPS page here: http://pe.usps.com/IMM_Archive/HTML/IMM_Archive_2007/imm/immc2.5.16.htm - If you live in a country that is not listed on this page, then it is likely that we cannot ship these items via the USPS and must go via UPS. The USPS offers many shipping methods, some more expensive than others. Kessler & Sons Music will only ship in a box and via a method that will safely deliver the product to its destination. Please note that the USPS will not ship musical instruments or supplies to Italy so our only choice for shipping is UPS when shipping to Italy. Kessler & Sons Music will also ship via UPS. While this is more expensive typically, it is a very reliable method of shipping. Payment All payments are to be made in US Dollars. Customer is responsible for any fees associated with the exchange from your currency to US Dollars. For international transactions, Kessler & Sons Music will not accept Credit Cards for payment. We will accept international payment by either of the 2 following methods:
Other Fees (Import Taxes, Brokerage, VAT, etc...) The customer is responsible upon delivery for any and all additional fees for the importation of a package. Kessler & Sons Music is not able to estimate or pay for any of these fees. If you are concerned or would like to know more about these fees, please speak to the importing shipping company (UPS or your Postal Service) before placing an order. Package Value Declaration Kessler & Sons Music is required by law to properly declare the full value of any and all items in a shipment. We understand that this declared value directly effects the import fees that the customer is responsible for upon delivery, but we will not declare a package for a lower fee as it is illegal and unethical for us to do so. Furthermore, Kessler & Sons Music will not label the contents of a package as anything other than merchandise. There are no exceptions to this policy. Brand & Item Restrictions There are some brands that Kessler & Sons Music cannot and will not ship internationally. This is mainly due to either a Manufacturer/Dealer Agreement forbidding such exportation fo their product -OR- the ability to safely deliver product international (mainly on larger and more delicate items, such as Baritone Saxophones for instance).
