Professional
Flutes
The term "professional" is one of the most
commonly overused terms in the music instrument industry. What really
constitutes making a flute a "professional" flute? For some people, this simply
means a flute that is open hole and made from solid silver. Others look solely
for a certain feature set and some base it solely on the price. Some flutes are
called a "professional" flute because the manufacturer of the flute calls it
their professional model.
Here is the reality: there are no professional
instruments, only professional players.
Yes, you can go crazy and spend a lot of money
on a professional flute, but for many players, the difference is simply not what
they are expecting considering the cost that they have to put out to get into
some of these top end flutes. There are a handful of players that really can and
will bring out the most of the top end flutes that cost well in excess of
$10,000 but for most players, what we consider "entry-level professional" flutes
are the most that they ever need.
We specialize in finding the best values in the
industry. We want to make sure that when you do decide to purchase the best
flute of your life, that you are getting a flute that truly performs to the
level that you expect when you are shopping. This means that we sometimes will
only carry select models from a manufacturer and not others. This also means
that we may not carry certain major brand name professional flutes because we do
not feel that the represent the best performance for their price.
Give us a call if you have any questions. We
are always more than glad to help you find that perfect flute for you!
