Kessler & Sons Music is proud to sell Fox Bassoons. Completely made in the USA, the Fox bassoons are among the highest regarded in the world. We are authorized dealers for Fox in the USA and are increasing our bassoon stock inventory. Chuck Kessler is a bassoonist and personally inspects and play tests every Fox bassoon prior to shipping to make sure that they are perfect.


Fox 222 Bassoon (wood) 18% nickel silver keys with silver plating. Full German system with High D key available as an option. Plateau key on wing joint third finger hole. Rollers on F, Ab, Eb, Db. Metal tubes extending into the bore in the finger holes of the wing and boot joints to prevent water from entering the tone holes. All posts are set with epoxy and spring posts are locked with screws Maple body, selected for tone quality, naturally aged in Fox's facilities. Linings in the wing joint and small bore of the boot joint. German bell (white ring). Body Lock.
Schreiber S16 Conservatory Model Bassoon Made in Germany with 10 year old select Alpine Maple Wood body with special epoxy resin bore liner in wing joint and boot joint to Ab (resists moisture induced wood rot), 25 keys including high D & E keys with double C touchplate, whisper key lock (right hand), 4 rollers (F-Ab, C#-Eb), 2 hand-hammered bocals, bright silver plated keywork.
