Selmer Paris "Jubilee"
Super Action 80
Series II & Serie III
Professional Saxophones
Celebrating 125 years of wind instrument manufacturing creating the acoustic and aesthetic alchemy of the saxophone and thus becoming the main architect of its evolution.
What's new with Jubilee?
Jubilee models are the first
saxophones that will feature many new design changes to Selmer Super
Action 80 Series II & III Saxophones. The Reference models are
unchanged. These changes are more physical cosmetic changes that
bring elegance to the top saxophones in the world. The Jubilee
models have now officially replaced the original Series II & III
saxophones.
New Engraving
The Jubilee models will be the first to
feature the new more elegant engraving from Selmer Paris. In French
Jeweler's traditions, the new engraving is thinner, more elaborate
in its covering and design stretching down the bell and onto the
bow. The new engraving also features Henri Selmer's signature on the
band connecting the bell and the bow.
New Neck Octave Key & Logo
The Jubilee models will be the first to
feature the new redesigned neck octave key. The key has been
redesigned to be lighter in weight thus improving vibration and
responsiveness. The neck logo of the Selmer "S" has been modernized
with a deeper blue background.
New Honey Gold Lacquer Standard
The Jubilee models will be the first
production models to include the standard lacquer change from clear
lacquer to the new richer colored honey gold lacquer.
Super Action 80 Jubilee Series II
Super Action 80 Jubilee Series II. The new standard for Selmer Paris saxophones. The Series II uses the heavier construction and a more relaxed bore producing a warmer tone and a very versatile instrument.

Super Action 80 Jubilee Series III
Super Action 80 Jubilee Series III. The new standard for Selmer Paris saxophones. Designed as more of a jazz horn. Features lighter weight construction for a brighter more responsive tone then the Series II models. Also designed with a neck angle for standing playing. The neck of the Serie III is more focused and produces a more centered powerful tone then the Series II.

| What does our Professional Setup do for you the customer? |
|
No horn comes into our shop from the manufacturers in perfect adjustment. In fact, the longer that the horns have sat in a storage facility or on a shops shelves, the more out of adjustment they typically are. This is due to the felt and leather in the pads loosing the compression that forms the "pad seat" causing leaks of air through the pads. Our Professional Setup prior to shipping is done to ensure that you receive a sax that plays perfectly right out of the box. This way you get the superior performance without having to have it "setup" by some other technician. As a Professional Selmer Paris Pro Shop, we know what Selmer saxophones are supposed to play like and we know how to make them perfect! |
