The Sterling Silver Reference 54 neck (also referred to as a "Solid Silver" neck) contains 92.5% pure silver combined with 7.5% copper (added for strength).

The Sterling Silver adds a completely new depth and warmth to the tone of the sax as well as much more presence throughout the whole range, specifically in the upper register and altissimo of a sax.

Based on the bore design and taper of the top end Reference 54 tenor sax, the Sterling neck makes a Great acoustical improvement on the Reference 54.
