of 5 the "Bird Tribute" Series. Released in
late 2007, the
Flamingo honors the African continent with a beautifully engraved
scene of Flamingos.
The horn is a standard Reference
54 alto, arguably one of the best saxophones ever made
and currently the top end model from Selmer Paris.
What is truly unique about the Flamingo is that Selmer
is making this model without the high F# key. We have
found that without the high F#, the horn gives a more
focused and richer tone.
The "Flamingo Standard" is set
at a maximum production of only 110 for the entire USA.
Once that number has been hit, this collector's edition
horn will never be made again.
