The Limited Edition Collector's Hummingbird Selmer Reference 54 Alto Sax. The best sax being manufactured today by the world's best, Selmer. This small production (only 70 will be made for the USA) is truly a beautiful saxophone. The engraving is elaborate and hand done with a signature card from the person who actually engraved each sax. Unlike the Standard Hummingbird, the Limited does use the Dark Brown lacquer that is on the standard Reference 54 alto sax. The outfit also includes a Selmer Super Session mouthpiece with a Selmer "Ligaphone" ligature and several "Hummingbird" accessories. The case is also configured specially only for this model. Does the sax play any better then a standard Reference 54? No. However, this horn is for someone who also wants a work of art and a rare piece of saxophone history.
