Warranties! - Why is this
important? Selmer Paris saxophones are made
in France and their Sole USA Distributor is
Conn-Selmer. Selmer Paris saxes that come
through Conn-Selmer have the full
manufacturer's warranty. We are an
Authorized Selmer USA Dealer purchasing
through Conn-Selmer. So all of our Selmer
instruments include this warranty. However,
there are dealers who will purchase Selmer
Paris products through other sources
overseas, for instance, through Germany.
While Selmer Paris will still warranty the
instrument, you would have to send it back
to France for any warranty item. Instruments
purchased through this "Grey Market" or
purchased from a dealer outside of the USA
have NO Selmer USA warranty. So if
there is a problem, you would have to pay
all the international freight to either send
it back to Selmer Paris or to the
originating overseas dealer. Is it worth the
risk?
