The newest member of the Kessler Custom lineup, our new "Jazz Handmade" model is designed to turn heads! We have combined aspects from 3 of our favorite professional handmade saxophones to form this one dream sax! The bore and keywork is based on Selmer Paris designs to give great intonation, focus of tone and ergonomics. The material is our "Red Brass" which gives a darker and richer tone like the Yanagisawa bronze models. Lastly, we utilize the lighter weight single post construction like Keilwerth professional models to give less resistance which frees up the vibration of the body. The end result of this merger of designs is a saxophone that has a huge, focused, warm and responsive sound! This model uses a body alloy containing 85% copper (vs. the standard 70% of brass). The added copper changes the weight and acoustical properties of the saxophone. This helps the horn produce a richer and meatier sound. Standard, we include our Professional Kessler Custom "New York Short Shank" Handmade Hard Rubber mouthpiece based on the vintage Meyer Bros. New York mouthpiece.
