To be honest, this particular setup was not what we originally intended. It seems that our factory made a slip up on a few horns. Instead of using the "Red Brass" Alloy (85% copper) for the whole horn, they only used the "Red Brass" on the neck and the body tube. For the bell and bow, it appears that they have used an even higher copper content (we believe around 90-93%). While this is not what we ordered, it isn't necessarily a bad thing either. The High Copper bell and bow help fatten up the tone of this sax giving it a darker and meatier tone compared to the all Red Brass models. Frankly, we are glad that they only did this by mistake on the bell and bow. Since the body and neck are still Red Brass, this sax doesn't seem to lose its response. Standard, we include our Kessler Custom 50NY mouthpiece.
