Mouthpiece is
THE MOST important piece of equipment for the
saxophone player. Our Kessler Custom line of
mouthpieces are designed for specific styles of
performance and musicality. This model is our
"Modern Classical". It is our premier
symphonic mouthpiece for alto sax.
First, this
mouthpiece kit is a combination of 2 proven
vintage & 1 modern classical designs rolled into
one mouthpiece.
The mouthpiece
is made out of a high quality true hard rubber.
Vintage
Design Facing
We use
our professional vintage Selmer Soloist C* style
facing with a slight rollover baffle. This facing
is extremely responsive with a concert reed. We
highly recommend the new
Rico Reserve Classic reeds in a strength
3.0, 3.0+, 3.5 or 4.0 - Traditional "Blue Box"
Vandoren reeds also work.
Modern
Designed Chamber
The chamber is
based off the modern Selmer S80 C* mouthpieces
being a square chamber. This chamber is utlra
responsive at any dynamic level giving the
player great control and stability.
Vintage
Design Ligature
Lastly, we have made special arrangements with
Rico to be able to provide their high
performance "H-Ligature" (gold plate, with
fitted cap) with this mouthpiece. In retail
stores, this ligature and cap have a retail
value of OVER $50 -
but is included for FREE with our mouthpiece!
This ligature is a modern design based on the
vintage Harrison ligatures and offers excellent
reed vibration while maintaining a good reed
seal and a warm tone. This ligature is a GREAT
improvement from standard ligatures giving
longer reed life (from lack of center pressure
on the reed) and a richer tone with greater
presence to your sound.
In the end, this
mouthpiece and ligature combination is a sure
fire hit with any level of player and is
guaranteed to impress!
